Single Pinned Mortise and Tenon Joinery. The tenon runs right through the post and is sanded smooth on the other side. A great example of true mortise and tenon joinery. If you own a hand-sewn quilt, unless it was a gift, you either have invested a great deal of time or a great deal of money to have procured such a wonderful thing. We believe beautiful quilts should be stored when not in use, on a quilt rack equally as beautiful and well made. Our solid cherry quilt rack is of course just such a piece.

The Quilt Rack is made from solid American Black Cherry. The posts are a hearty 7/8" thick and the rails are mortised into the posts and pinned using our hand-planed cherry pegs.

The Quilt Rack shown here is finished with 5 coats of hand-rubbed tung oil for a silky satin finish.

The Quilt Rack may be used to display quilts, towels or linens. You can even throw your clothes on it.
